BACKYARD START

Khaleb started as a backyard business in 2006, operating in an apartment compound in Quezon City, through the financial and operational support of the owners’ mother and grandmother.

The owners were still students at UP Diliman when they thought of putting up the business, driven by their need for additional income to fund their college education. From its first branch in Manila, Khaleb rolled out across the Metro to the malls, supermarkets, terminals, commercial areas and all the way to key provinces.
